Sir Ridley Scott exhibition

When South Shields’ new community hub opened, it needed a show-stopper to fill its dedicated exhibition space. As a former area resident, Sir Ridley Scott’s life and work was chosen as the subject matter. The focus was a number of his films as well as a personal biography. I worked on layout, design, illustration and app design with the extra task procuring props and use technology to bring the exhibition to life. Aside from the tower of Blade Runner-esque flatscreen TVs, the exhibition’s big draw was the life-size Xenomorph that was commissioned and was built by world-famous Cod Steaks in Bristol.

The exhibition drew over 150,000 visitors and was covered by national and international media. Before it was finalised, the whole exhibition was even given the seal of approval by Sir Ridley himself!
